What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Front-End Engineer position at Candidate Experience site?
We are looking for a Front-End Software Engineer with strong design and development skills to join FortiSIEM GUI team. The ideal candidate needs to have passion and attitude to work closely with product managers and back-end engineers to build engaging, scalable and performant web applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement user interfaces for complex security dashboards, visualizations, and reporting tools in FortiSIEM product.
- Work closely with back-end engineers to integrate front-end components with real-time data and APIs.
- Learn FortiSIEM and make sure the features and bug fixes are working end-to-end before submitting code.
- Ensure security best practices in front-end development, protecting against XSS, CSRF, and other web vulnerabilities.
- Make sure that front-end solution is high-performant and able to handle large volumes of data
- Help in AngularJS to Angular migration, while ensuring compatibility.
- Ensure that the application works consistently across all modern browsers and platforms.
- Participate in functional spec, design, code reviews and testing
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in web security, front-end frameworks, and SIEM products.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Front-End Engineer or UI Developer, with a focus on complex, data-driven web applications.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Strong knowledge of CSS pre-processors like SASS or LESS
- Knowledge of data visualization libraries and tools (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js, Highcharts).
- Familiarity with front-end build tools and bundlers (e.g., Webpack, Babel, NPM/Yarn).
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git and GitHub
- Experience with AngularJS to Angular migration is a strong plus
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, fast learner, and willing to work in a fast paced and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Adapt and deliver on time working in a fast-paced agile environment.
Education:
BS/MS in computer science or related field, BS with 5 years of work experience or MS with 3 years of work experience
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$175,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.
Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
