Primary Purpose
Provides strategic consultation and program management around Workforce Development to develop, execute, and evaluate programs, and other development opportunities that address job seeker/ team member competencies and organizational workforce needs resulting in increased community hires and/or internal career pathway mobility.
Major Responsibilities
Consults and partners with the business to effectively analyze and prioritize organizational workforce needs for assigned areas. Performs gap analyses to inform the creation of quality programs, materials, and workforce development solutions to build job seeker/team member capability and effectiveness.
Develops, executes and facilitates (may be co-facilitating or training leaders) select workforce curriculum/programs in alignment with community and organizational needs.
Challenge the status quo by designing and implementing innovative and inspiring workforce solutions that support DEI/inclusive hiring goals.
Responsible for program management (including marketing, partnership development, facilitation resources, expansion planning, program budget) to support strategic workforce priorities.
Partners and researches externally to benchmark, evaluate best practice standards and determine comprehensive workforce solutions that are consistent with principles of Workforce Development practices, achieve intended impact and job seeker/team member satisfaction.
Collaborates with key stakeholders and cross-system teams to identify workforce needs, develop strategies, determine and implement solutions and support individuals to take action in their respective roles in order to facilitate cost effective and impactful development opportunities.
Responsible for managing select community relationships including leveraging expertise to influence decisions, determining agreements and challenging the status quo.
Evaluates the effectiveness of workforce strategies/programs/solutions, assesses the impact on the business, and utilizes this information in order to make decisions (i.e.; improvements, modifications, etc).
Minimum Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Organization Development, Human Resources or related field
Certification / Registration / License: NA
Work Experience: Typically requires 7 years of experience in workforce development, training and development, leadership, organizational development, HR consultation or related field.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge of best practice workforce development solutions, research and strategies applied in large organizations.
Effective group facilitation and internal consulting skills.
Skills in research, developing sound proposals, and demonstrated ability in the successful implementation of programs.
Skills in influencing and developing others who are not direct reports in order to move toward common goals and outcomes.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with executives, management, physicians, team members at all levels and community job seekers.
Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group and with a wide range of audiences consisting of different generations, cultures, and learning styles.
High level of proficiency and literacy in using the Microsoft Office Suite, similar products and other technology solutions.
Ability to navigate and establish priorities in an often ambiguous environment.
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
This position may require travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job. Exposed to a normal office environment.
