Scale Operator

We seek a well-organized team player for the position of Scale Operator
What will you do?
Provide customer service by completing requirement paperwork for the drivers who are delivering and picking up materials at our manufacturing plant.
Scale trucks in and out using appropriate programs in order to receive raw materials and ship finished products to our external customers.
Collect, maintain, and transmit accurate data for your department regarding performance, statistical analysis, filing and paperwork.
Schedule and maintain truck appointments, communicating to all affected team members.
Maintain an accurate inventory of company trailers, including dross and chip trailers.
Report deviations, discrepancies, or non-conforming materials so that the logistics team may make corrections and/or adjustments to processes and/or pricing.
Model safety, complying with all safety policies, rules, procedures and DOT requirements.
Our Qualifications?
A minimum of 3 years prior quality experience in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.

Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
Drive to learn and apply continuous improvement techniques such as Lean and Six Sigma.
Drive to champion change and continuous improvement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills
Ability to train and coach others.
Physical Demands?
Occasional lifting of heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
Regular office work (computer, data entry, phone, filing).
Frequent standing, bending, walking.
Occasional exposure to noise and extreme temperatures while outside and/or in the plant.
May use forklift/mobile equipment.
Occasional travel.
When will you work?
Currently this position works MON-FRI days. Depending upon business needs in the future the shift could change to a 2-2-3 continental days schedule.
