We are seeking an experienced Logistics Import-Export Specialist to join a major pharmaceutical expansion project in Clayton, NC. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in global logistics, import/export compliance, and stakeholder management. This is 100% onsite work, Monday through Friday.
This role supports a high-profile pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Clayton, NC. As part of the logistics team, you will be responsible for managing global shipping operations, customs clearance, and compliance with EU/US regulations. Working closely with freight forwarders, planners, and customers, you will ensure the smooth movement of finished goods and bulk shipments while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing import/export logistics and ensuring timely shipments.
- Managing customs compliance and regulatory adherence.
- Working with freight forwarders, customers, and planners to optimize logistics processes.
- Driving process improvements through data analysis and risk management.
- Providing logistics leadership and technical support across project sites.
What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 5 years of logistics experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Knowledge of EU and US import/export regulations and industry guidelines.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- 2 years of project management experience (preferred).
