**Summary of Responsibilities:**
The OR Nurse Manager is responsible for leading the Nursing Department, supporting the mission, vision, and core values of the organization. Key responsibilities include Management and Supervision, Nursing Department Development, Health Promotion, Nursing Case Management/Care Coordination, Care Team Development, Quality Improvement, Confidentiality, Patient Rights, and other tasks assigned by the hospital.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Supports the mission, vision, and core values of the organization
* Manages and supervises Staff Nurses (RNs/LPNs) and Clinical Facilitators, overseeing their duties including nurse visits, phone triage, patient walk-ins, medication administration, and case management
* Develops and implements departmental meetings with Staff Nurses and Clinical Facilitators, providing continuing education opportunities and nursing certification opportunities to promote staff retention
* Collaborates with the Clinical Nursing Director to lead departmental meetings and develop strategies to improve clinical functions and procedures
* Oversees Health Promotion activities, working with Clinical Personnel to educate patients on health promotion, illness prevention, medical diagnoses, medication administration, treatment procedures, disease management, and community resource utilization
* Develops and coordinates Nursing Case Management/Care Coordination initiatives and processes with Clinical Personnel
* Participates in quality improvement initiatives to improve clinical functions and procedures
* Maintains confidentiality and upholds patient rights, dignity, and autonomy
**Requirements:**
* Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (RN Program)
* Current RN license, in good standing with the State licensing board
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - ACLS/PALS depending on the department
* Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude
* Possesses good interpersonal skills, initiative, integrity, flexibility, adaptability, and must be a team player
