The Position: Quality Control Inspector
As a Quality Control Inspector at CandleScience, you will be tasked with ensuring all inbound, manufactured, and returned products meet the high-quality standards that our customers expect from one of the nation's leading suppliers.
The Quality Inspector is responsible for reviewing products and materials upon arrival or during/after manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. Their duties include measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests and identifying defects.

The Quality Inspector is responsible for reviewing products and materials upon arrival or during/after manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. Their duties include measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests and identifying defects.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects and approves materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
- Inspects post-production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor
- Inspects customer returns for damage and usage and re-work or repackages as necessary
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and records data in the appropriate system
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and calling for repairs
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills with upper management, suppliers and co-workers
- Internal auditing/inspection experience
- Analytic Skills and thinking
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite and similar software
- Able to lift up to 55 lbs repetitively and move 100 lbs with equipment
