Summary:
The Walker Books Group, one of the world’s leading publishers of books and content for young readers, seeks a Sales Assistant to support our Amazon team. Reporting to our Sr. National Account Manager, the Sales Assistant will be responsible for supporting a variety of tasks across the Amazon sales team and departmental efforts. This position provides an exciting opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in other departments through the lens of a data-centric and dynamic account with responsibilities that include sales analysis, optimization of metadata, and trend analysis, to name a few.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Assisting the Amazon team on projects from pitch to completion
- Maintaining departmental databases and tracking grids
- Submitting necessary financial documents and tracking responses to completion
- Distribution of sales materials, internally and to customers
- Assisting with account meetings including PowerPoint presentations and Excel Spreadsheets
- Compiling and distributing conference and meeting notes
- Running sales reporting from a variety of systems
- Creating and customizing Edelweiss collections
- Assisting with other departmental and support tasks as requested
Requirements:
A professional and poised demeanor along with the ability to perform efficiently under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment comfortably is required. A strong sense of prioritization, attention to detail and great communication skills along with excellent typing, spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills are also required. MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and other computer programming knowledge is necessary. A love of children’s books is a plus.
