Parts Inventory Specialist

Candlewood East is seeking a Parts Inventory Specialist to add to our service team. The main objective of the Parts Inventory Specialist is to have a general knowledge of marine engines, drives, boats, and trailers, or the ability/desire to learn. Additionally, this role is responsible for managing shipping and receiving operations, as well as overseeing inventory control to ensure accurate stock levels and timely order fulfillment.

Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain and stock inventory
• Assist customers and mechanics with inquiries and provide technical data and part numbers
• Assist walk-in customers
• Issue parts, tools and supplies to mechanics and service job as required
• Create purchase orders and place orders with vendors for needed parts
• Maintain clean parts room & shop to ensure safe & orderly work environment
• Complete regular physical inventories and perform cycle counts
• Properly tag all warranty parts and ship parts back for warranty review
• Generate revenue through sales of parts and accessories
• Monitor expenses of the parts department
• Ensure all work order tickets are completed and billed in an accurate and timely manner
• Position is Monday through Friday with occasional half day Sundays during busy season

Candidates Must:

• Demonstrable knowledge in boating and/or motor vehicle mechanics
• Passionate about producing customer service of the highest quality; understand the impact of enthusiastic, sincere service
• Possess excellent organization skills and the ability to effectively multitask
• Have a self-motivated spirit, be well organized and possess a high attention to detail
• Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work well alone or with a team
• Have competency in Word & Outlook & a complete knowledge and understanding of Excel

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
