We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a strategic thinker with expertise in budgeting, customer service, and hotel management. As the Hotel General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all departments operate smoothly while maintaining high standards of service and hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all hotel operations, including front desk, guest relations, housekeeping, and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Oversee budgeting processes, financial reporting, and cost control measures to ensure profitability.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to foster a positive work environment.
  • Handle guest complaints and inquiries promptly and professionally to maintain high levels of customer service.
  • Coordinate with the night audit team to ensure accurate financial reporting at the end of each day.
  • Maintain effective communication with all departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Utilize phone systems effectively for reservations, inquiries, and guest communications.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration among staff members.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of front desk operations and guest relations practices.
  • Experience with night audit procedures is preferred.
  • Excellent budgeting skills with a focus on financial management.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with resort operations is advantageous.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
