About the Role:
As the Front Desk Manager, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, overseeing the daily operations of the front desk team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and develop a skilled front desk team. Serve as a mentor and coach, offering consistent feedback and support.
- Scheduling: Create and adjust work schedules to ensure efficient operations and adequate staffing.
- Guest Interaction: Provide a warm welcome to guests and resolve any issues to ensure their satisfaction. You'll be the go-to person for addressing guest concerns.
- Revenue Management: Train the team on effective sales techniques and manage reservations to maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Expense Management: Monitor departmental expenses and ensure adherence to budget guidelines.
- Gift Shop Oversight: Manage the hotel gift shop, including inventory and pricing.
- Daily Operations: Lead pre-shift meetings, review daily reports, and ensure all guest service standards are upheld.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: At least two years of front desk experience in a hotel, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong understanding of front office operations, excellent communication abilities, keen attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism: Maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Problem Solving: Ability to handle cash, follow instructions, and perform well under pressure.
