Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments in a hotel environment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. The Laundry Attendant will ensure that all items are laundered, dry cleaned, and presented to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers to launder hotel linens, towels, and uniforms.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store clean laundry items according to established procedures.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for delicate fabrics or special requests.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking laundry supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
