We are looking for an exceptional Director of Sales to provide best in class service for our guests and exceptional financial results for our investors.
As a key member of the property leadership team, the Director of Sales has influence and accountability for the revenue generation of the property. Reporting to the Regional Director of Sales and the General Manager, the Sales Manager will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of ethical leadership to lead the property to achieve its business goals.
Core Job Requirements
- Responsible for the overall sales and revenue generation of the property
- Executes the training of all associates as it relates to the sales process to maximize revenues
- Be responsible for maintaining compliance and up to date on new sales initiatives for the brand and company
- Be actively involved in the STAR report
- Implement and train on all procedures that relate to sales, including systems and processes
- Maintain positive relationships with Management company, property owners and clients
- Support elite guest experience and satisfaction in all operations
- Act as the face of the property by being actively involved in the local community
- Ability to implement and maintain all sales documentation and sales procedures through training, coaching & counseling, and progressive discipline when necessary
- Ability to make revenue management decisions to effectively grow market share
- Work with GM and Management Company to effectively manage rate strategy at all times.
Profit Management
Director of Sales will be responsible for the development, customized sales, and marketing plans for the hotel. The position leads the implementation of the plans for the property. The plans are based on RMC-approved policies and strategies, particularly aspects of the market and demand segments
Essential Skills and Experience
Technical skills preferred – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, sales-tracking software and experience with hotel reservation systems.
