Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Assist with food preparation and handling to ensure freshness and quality of offerings.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries.
- Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies; assist in restocking as needed.
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with team members/work independently to create an efficient workflow during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food service or café industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with retail math for handling transactions effectively is beneficial.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Experience in cash handling and operating cash registers is advantageous.
- A background in food handling or food preparation will be considered an asset.
