Paralegal

Paralegal Position Available for Trusts & Estates/Elder Law Practice in Nyack, NY

*Open to Hybrid Schedule- In office and Remote

Duties:

- Assist w/ drafting estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney and health care documents

- Work directly w/ clients to gather information, documents and answer questions

- Organize and maintain document management systems

- File, e-file and organize legal documents and correspondence

- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records

- Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Experience with trust & estates a plus but not required

- Experience with e-filing and handling court documents a plus but not required

- Proficient in using document management systems and other legal software

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work

- Compassion and patience when interacting with clients

- Strong communication and writing skills

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

- Associate’s degree or certification in paralegal studies is preferred, but not required
