Job Overview
We are looking to hire a pest control technician to work in our family owned pest control company. We offer on-the-job training to help you become a successful pest control professional.
Pest control technicians are trained specialists who use various techniques and products to eliminate or control unwanted pests. Their primary role is also to provide pest management services to clients. The responsibilities include helping customers identify and get rid of various pests, inspecting customers’ premises, advising customers on possible treatment options, and modifying any potential pest habitat to better control or eliminate infestations.
To be successful as a pest control technician you will learn:
- Proper identification of common structural invading pests.
- Advising customers on the kind of treatment required to eliminate a particular type of pest.
- Filling out all necessary paperwork upon completion of each job.
- Applying suitable pesticides to infected areas by following the label instructions and complying with safety procedures.
- Drive to various job sites, ensuring timely arrival and completion of services.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and improve customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to pest control.
Experience
- Previous experience in pest control or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely.
- Strong sales skills to promote additional services to clients when appropriate.
- Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently across multiple job sites.
- A valid driver's license is required for this position.
