This role is a permanent full-time position working Monday-Friday.
What you will do as a Loader Operator :
- Load and unload logs as directed, ensuring production expectations are met.
- Remove logs from the kick-out bin daily with the knuckle-boom loader.
- Ensure painted and oversized logs are taken to the metal yard, while others are placed back on the log deck.
- Perform daily cleanup duties around the metal log field and kick out the bin.
- Fill in at the Scalehouse as needed, handling various scale functions and log loading / unloading.
- Perform or assist with weekly preventative maintenance on machinery and complete daily check sheets.
- Adhere to all safety rules and procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE) and promoting safe work practices.
