Dog Daycare Attendant - Kennel Technician

Canine & Co. Dog Resort is a luxury resort offering the highest quality of boarding, daycare, and grooming services for dogs of all sizes. We are passionate about dogs and have the highest standards when it comes to their comfort safety and happiness. We are looking for friendly and hardworking individuals to join our team. This person will work directly with all dogs and must be committed to their safety and overall wellbeing.

Must be able to work weekends, holidays, available to work shifts based upon the company needs Mon-Sun 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM or 1:00 PM 7:30 PM

Pay rate: $13.00 - 14.00 Based upon experience (not including tips; tips average $2.45 an hour in addition to payrate)

Qualifications

· Ability to supervise large groups of dogs of all sizes; provide positive and safe handling techniques.

· Must possess love, empathy, enthusiasm and respect to all dogs of all breeds.

· Willing to learn canine behavior to ensure their safety

· Good teamwork and willingness to assist others

· Cheerful, friendly, positive team-oriented attitude

· Be capable of working at a fast pace, with appropriate care and accuracy

· Be safety-conscious

· Possess good communication skills

· Ability to take directions and apply it independently

· Be dependable and timely; must have own transportation

· Must be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

· At least 6 months of animal care work or volunteer experience (pet resort, animal shelter, veterinary clinic, or grooming salon) preferred

· Must be detail-oriented and capable of following specific and sometimes complex instructions regarding the care of each canine guest.

· Position involves standing and walking 90% of the time, as well as bending, ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds safely to waist height is required

. Other duties may include assisting Front Desk Team

Responsibilities

· Primary focus is keeping our canine guests safe, happy, and comfortable - minimize stress levels

· Become familiar with each guest; identify personality traits, play styles, best friends, and to provide comfort to those who are not accustomed to being away from home.

· Ensure that each canine guest is treated with respect

· Cleaning and sanitizing all areas in facility, doing laundry, dishes, vacuum, mop, etc.

· Preparing and providing meals

· Always ensure that guests have fresh water

· Supervise outdoor and indoor dog play. Monitor guests closely for stress, potential conflicts, redirect, and provide breaks

· Keep outdoor yards and indoor daycare gyms clean and disinfected

*Experience in the industry does not include having a family dog

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 35 per week
