Admissions Specialists are the first people our clients see when they walk into our facility, and our exceptional customer service starts with them.
RESPONSIBILITIES
GREETING STUDENTS
Greeting dogs and parents on their first day! Yikes, this can be quite tense as the dog is anxious, the owner is anxious and excited so the “meet and greets” take quite a bit of time.
CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS
Reassuring concerned dog owners who are leaving their four legged furry family member with us for a few days. It can be difficult for many owners, especially young children, to leave their family member with us. Patience ...
ENROLLMENT
We take time getting to know the clients and students to ensure they will be successful with our team and other dogs.
RETAIL MANAGEMENT
Stock management and knowledge associated with our inventory including dog food, treats, tools, etc.
TOUR GUIDE
Parents want to see where their dogs will be playing. We love showing off and welcome the opportunity to offer tours to any interested client.
MEDICAL MANAGEMENT
Interacting with Veterinary teams for vaccine requirements of our students.
REQUIREMENTS
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Extreme customer service skills - you are our directors of first impressions!
TECHNOLOGY
Basic knowledge of computers, telephone systems and ability to learn to use intake and scheduling applications.
MUST LOVE DOGS
Genuine passion for learning about and caring for dogs
SCHEDULE
Ability to work weekends and holidays
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for many hours on end and handle 100 lb. dogs. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and manage stress levels.

Canine College is one of the largest, premier dog boarding and doggie daycare facilities in Metro Detroit. We care for dogs of all breeds and ages, offering indoor and outdoor doggie daycare, boarding, training, grooming and retail services. Our human play field coaches are qualified with canine management skills, breed-specific knowledge, First-Aid, CPR and pack behavior training.
All “students” are admitted upon successful completion of our “pledge” program, ensuring a friendly environment for the entire student body.
