Qualifications
As a Volunteer Assistant, you will be integral in providing support to our dedicated team of volunteers.
A typical day as a Volunteer Assistant may include:
- Responsible for volunteer recruitment outreach including tabling, representation at events, maintaining volunteer opportunities in both Volunteer Hub and VolunteerMatch.
- Process intake forms and applications and move them through the Volunteer Hub process, orientation and onboarding of new volunteers for fostering dogs.
- Maintain schedule of volunteer dog fosters.
- Support weekly volunteer meetings.
- Participate in volunteer chapter calls.
- Lead point of contact for volunteers at events and galas.
- Coordinate and set up Team Training lunches for clients.
- Responsible for opening the office in the morning and greeting volunteers.
- Provide office administration support including tracking tasks in Salesforce, opening mail, forwarding mail to the Schulz Campus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors performing volunteer administrative duties.

- Must Haves:
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to organize and maintain detailed records; complete necessary paperwork and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of volunteers in a professional manner.
- Education:
- Education: High school graduate, GED or equivalent.
SCHEDULE:
Part-time: Monday-Friday 7:30am-12:30pm
RATE OF PAY: $20.76/hour
The base salary range above represents the low and high of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of total compensation package for employees.
