Position Summary
The Hybrid Associate works with both the retail and inventory team. They are equally responsible for providing the highest level of friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate customer service to our patrons, and maintaining accurate and compliant cannabis inventory. This position requires a high level of flexibility, adaptability, attention to detail, self motivation, and a compliance oriented mindset, in order to ensure the company is meeting all requirements under state law.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Uses expertise to educate customers on product selection and purchase procedures; answers questions; positively represents the company
- Maintains a calm and helpful demeanor during high-volume times to ensure customer satisfaction
- Demonstrates compassion and sensitivity when assisting patrons in order to accommodate their unique needs and preferences
- Addresses customer concerns and/or complaints using prescribed operation procedures
- Maintains privacy and confidentiality of customer information
- Follows daily operation procedures in compliance with company policy and CCC regulations
- Utilizes computerized point of sale system to complete transactions
- Maintains accurate and compliant cannabis inventory
- Responsible for overseeing internal and external transactions, including physical and digital transfer of product between departments, and during sales transactions
- Completes required data entry (logging transactions, transfers, and daily intake/outgoing product) using Google Sheets/MS Excel, Dutchie, and Metrc in order to maintain compliance
- Completes periodic audits for internal and state compliance purposes
- Monitor and track quality control of incoming/outgoing product and packaging
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma required or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous experience in an inventory or compliance role required; cannabis industry experience highly valued
- High attention to detail and compliance mindset
- Proficient in Windows operating system, Google Workspace & Microsoft Office products,
- Expert knowledge of state cannabis regulations
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for at least 8 hours
- Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, crouch in order to access product
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to push/pull carts up to 100 – 200lbs
- Visual acuity needed for viewing screens and fine print
- Manual dexterity needed for data entry
Workplace Environment
- Consistent moderate background noise level due to HVAC
- Vault is kept at a lower temperature than typical office or retail environments
- Generally working in confined vault space without natural light
