As a Customer Experience Associate, you are the first point of contact for customers, setting the tone for their visit. Your role is essential in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience while maintaining compliance with New York cannabis regulations. This includes verifying customer age, checking them into the POS system, introducing them to budtenders, and assisting with checkout transactions.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
Age Verification, Check-In & Security
- Greet all customers verify that they are 21 with valid government-issued identification
- Efficiently check customers into the POS system
- Correspond with Security by completing any incident forms and monitoring the store for unauthorized entry
Point of Sale (POS) Transactions
- Accurately process sales, handle cash and electronic payments, and ensure compliance with sales limits
- Maintain an organized and efficient checkout area
Customer Engagement & Store Atmosphere
- Create a friendly and inclusive environment for all visitors
- Provide basic information about the dispensary, products, and promotions
- Seamlessly introduce customers to Budtenders for personalized recommendations as needed
Minimum Requirements
- 2 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service within a highly regulated industry
- Basic proficiency in POS systems and cash handling
- Must be 21 and legally authorized to work in New York
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
