Job Summary
Customer Service Associate I (CSA I) provide exceptional purchasing experience while highlighting the customer experience. Cannabis Nation believes in a personalized approach to customer service, matching customers with the products best suited to them. CSA I is responsible for maintaining a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and must be knowledgeable enough to guide customers through their purchase and to answer any questions they may have. CSA I’s will assist with pre-sales duties to expedite the inventory process. They must possess and maintain a solid knowledge of industry regulations and adhere to those regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service – Sales
- Provide exceptional, compassionate service to customers, employees, and all other visitors by sharing product knowledge, maintaining a positive/energetic attitude, and ensuring the company’s reputation for excellent customer service.
- Greet customers and visitors, answer phones, accepting resumes and applications for prospective employees.
- Accurately record transactions in the Point-of-Sale system and display accurate cash handling and cash auditing requirements.
- Create a positive sales environment by maintaining a clean workspace, organizing in store displays, creating menus and literature, etc.
Customer Service – Inventory
- Ensuring products meet State regulations for packaging, labeling, testing, etc., during the sale process.
- Restocking products and notifying managers of errors.
Compliance
- Validate proof of acceptable Identification for customers. Properly enter and record medical patients’ information in accordance with State regulations.
- Ensure regulations for compliance, security, company policies are met to maximize loss prevention, theft, and inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain knowledge of OLCC regulations
Additional Duties – Sales
- Perform dispensary opening and closing tasks:
- Executing cleaning and sanitary requirements for customer sales areas, setting up in store displays and sales materials.
- Creating and updating sales brochures and menus as inventory changes.
Additional Duties – Inventory
- Assist with pre-sale product requirements by ensuring all labels and stickers are present on all packaging.
- Perform opening and closing tasks: Re-stocking, setting up/taking down products to meet state requirements, assist in nightly product audits, cleaning and maintaining materials, equipment, and areas used for storing, weighing, and packaging products.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in the cannabis industry preferred.
- Must be 21 years old.
- Must possess and keep current a valid OLCC Marijuana Workers Permit
- Must pass a criminal background check.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Ability to sit or stand for periods of up to four hours at a time.
- Ability to bend, stoop or reach.
- Ability to utilize step stools.
