Service and Installation Technician

Based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Canney’s Water Conditioning is a woman-owned business and Southwest Michigan’s Premier Water Treatment provider. We offer exceptional water filtration equipment systems, treatment products, bottled water and salt delivery services to many Southwest Michigan customers. At Canney’s Water Conditioning, we serve both residential and commercial/industrial customers, providing clean and safe water solutions with high-end Michigan water filtration products and services you can count on.

We are looking for a proactive, self-driven, customer-focused and resourceful Service Technician to install and service water treatment systems for residential and commercial/industrial clients.

Skills and Abilities: We will schedule Hands On, In-Field, On The Job Training.

• Must have a mechanical Aptitude:
• Enroll in our Apprenticeship program
• Ability to be trained and become certified in backflow testing and/or acquired the skills
• Setup, Maintenance, and Repair. (We will teach you the water treatment industry)
• Consistently be a role model of Canney's culture while serving team members, clients, and our community
• Support after hour customer emergency plumbing needs through the on-call rotation over a 4 week period and adhere to the On-Call Policy, rotating with other team members every 8 weeks.
• Provide ongoing communication to team members and receive training/support by our on staff master plumber.
• Learn our product line, as you will be training with both internal and external customers on the operation of integrated water treatment systems and components that are rented and/or purchased by our customer base.
• Develop relationships with our customers internal/external
• Ability to troubleshoot a situation and provide a resolution in a timely and efficient manner
• Ability to work with a strong and driven workforce that is results oriented
• Operate large delivery vehicles loaded with heavy products in all types of weather
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve water filtration equipment issues.
• Operation of a remote Ipad 12.5 and Iphone for daily entries as they pertain to the scheduling, customer work order system and work being completed.
• Hand tool proficiency
