What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Service Manager position at Cannon Chevrolet/Nissan of Laurel?
We have a rare opportunity at Cannon Chevrolet/Nissan of Laurel in our service department. The open position is for a Service Manager In our service department. The person for this position should be self-motivated, reliable, and a team player first. If these three things do not describe you, this may not be your position.
Summary: This position will oversee all of the service operations to include.
- Manage warranty claims
- Maintain work schedule for service personnel
- Plan for and hold service meetings
- Dispatch work and control shop flow
- Monitor and correct performance as needed
- Ensure customer satisfaction scores remain high
- Interact with customers and assist Service Advisers
- Control and protect company assets
- Manager relationship with Manufacture
- Ensure the department complies with all state and federal regulations
- Create a positive work environment to foster good employee relations
We would prefer automotive management experience and may consider an applicant with a strong background and related experience. The ideal person should be open to new concepts and willing to learn the Cannon way!
Job Requirements:
- ADP DMS experience preferred
- ASE Certification (C1) - preferred but not required
- Proven track record
- Strong record of positive Customer Satisfaction results
- Valid in-state driver’s license with good driving record
- Submit to a complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test
