What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at Cannon Law Group?
The Cannon Law Group is seeking to hire a determined and efficient Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of experience to join our growing law firm located in Salt Lake City. As an Associate Attorney you will work directly with senior associates to draft documents, assist in litigation matters, perform legal research, and assist in the day-to-day operations of legal matters.
Responsibilities:
· Draft legal documents.
· Draft motions and handle litigation matters under senior attorney supervision.
· Provide support to senior associates and owner of the firm.
· Review and file court documents in a timely manner.
· Ensure Attorney – Client confidentiality.
· Advise clients on solutions to conflicts.
Qualifications:
· Accredited Law Degree
· Utah State Bar Licensed and in good standing required. (Texas, Nevada, and California Licenses desired also but not required.)
· Experience in a law firm or legal practice.
· Experience in drafting and arguing motions and assisting in complex litigation matters, including all stages of discovery and motion practice.
· Oral and written advocacy skills, with significant legal research experience necessary.
· Experience in preparing and reviewing various transactional, employment, and real estate documents.
· Conscientious with a proven attention to detail.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and can communicate practical ideas and solutions.
· Strong verbal skills, with ability to clearly communicate advice to clients and others.
· Embraces teamwork and values collaboration.
· Willingness to leave a "comfort zone" and learn new areas of law.
Job Type: Full time, Monday to Friday

Compensation: $100K depending on experience.
