Electrical Maintenance Technician
Pay : $35-40 / hr. (depending on experience level)
Summary :
Provide quality installations, repair, preventive maintenance and inspections for these industrial systems, as well as other manufactures of similar systems. Candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting of electric overhead cranes. This position requires 75% local travel, 25% overnight travel with per diem on overnight travel.
Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent
5 years of work experience with similar types of equipment
Proven experience with electrical troubleshooting
Experienced with maintenance on overhead cranes
Ability to read and understand repair manuals / drawings
Ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions, and initiate repairs
Ability to obtain customer security badge
Work Environment Considerations :
Work in various environments and working conditions that depend on the assignment
Overtime, weekends, and travel if needed
Working at heights & some heavy lifting
Must have valid Driver's License
Primary Responsibilities :
Read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams and schematic drawings.
Maintenance on electric overhead cranes.
Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical equipment (strong knowledge of motor controls) is a plus.
Install, program, maintain, document and troubleshoot programmable logic controls and components. A plus
Familiarity with 480-volt 3-phase electricity, electrical meters and fuse changes
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
Assemble and test motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data
Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing
equipment as needed.
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs
Provide a high level of communication with both Customer and Office.
Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
