Estimator - Metal Fabrication
Pay : $33-37 / hr. (negotiable based on experience level)
Description :
The Estimator for the Metal Rolling and Forming Department is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for structural steel projects involving rolling, bending, and forming processes.
The role requires a deep understanding of metal fabrication techniques, material properties, project specifications, and industry standards.
The Estimator will work closely with sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure the feasibility and profitability of projects.
Requirements :
- 5 years of fabrication experience
- 3 years of experience in estimating for structural steel or metal fabrication projects
- Familiarity with metal rolling and forming processes, including plate rolling, angle rolling, and bending
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Job Duties :
- Analyze project blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the scope of work
- Calculate labor, material, and equipment costs for rolling, bending, and forming operations
- Provide detailed and accurate cost breakdowns and timelines
- Working on one-of-a-kind pieces that come with interesting challenges
