Millwright / Field Mechanic
Pay : $25-31 / hr.
Shift : Day, depends on job site
Description :
Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a Millwright / Field Mechanic responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
Requirements :
Proven experience as a Millwright, Field Mechanic or similar role in an industrial setting
Ability to travel to job sites and commute to the shop
Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, including hydraulics and pneumatics
Proficiency with precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, and laser alignment equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights when necessary
Job Duties :
Read and interpret diagrams, schematic drawings, and service manuals to determine work procedures
Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts accurately
Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
Align and test equipment, making necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation
Perform predictive and operational procedures to maintain equipment efficiency
Repair or replace defective parts as needed
Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required
Maintain an inventory of replacement parts and order new parts as necessary
