Quality Assurance Manager
Pay : $73k-85k / yr.
Shift : Mon-Thu (5 : 30am to 3 : 30pm); Occasional OT when needed Friday
Description :
Cannonball Recruiting is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager for a metal shop in York, PA.
Requirements :
5 years of experience with Quality / Inspection in a metal shop environment
Work closely with the Plant Manager and in conjunction with the fabricators, welders, and machine operators
Measurement, mathematical, and conversation skills
Ability to stand, sit, move around the shop for 10 hours a day; ability to lift up to 50 pounds, assistance encouraged for safety reasons
Ability to work overtime when needed
Job Duties : Inspection
First Piece and Final Piece Inspection of each Operation.
Verification of Operators’ Ongoing Checks.
First Article Inspection (FAI) and Pre-Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) (Documented and Formatted to each customer’s requirements).
Incoming material conformance to specifications.
Re-inspection of returned material for conformance to specifications.
Training
Provide training and support to operators.
Conduct new hire orientation regarding the Quality and Safety Systems.
Participate in the Company’s Workplace Safety Program.
Reporting and Analyzing
Record, report, and analyze Quality System Metrics in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality Standards.
Corrective and Preventative Actions, Non-Conforming Materials, Vendor non-conformances, Preventative Maintenance
Identify errors including repeated patterns and potential errors.
Representation
Act as the Company’s champion and representative during Quality System audits.
Act of the Company’s representative in a customer service role in working with customers regarding Quality issues, complaints, and initiative for improvement. Communicate in response to concerns and proactively to notify customers of enhanced measures taken to ensure quality and conformance to expectations and specifications.
Keep commitments to customers, coworkers, and management by addressing concerns and requests timely, effectively, and professionally.
Follow-Up
Follow up on previous actions to determine effectiveness and need for improvement.
Follow up with operators on past errors or preventative actions to ensure that policies, procedures, and other measures are taking place.
Verify that changes to prints and drawings are documented and implemented in production.
Continuous Improvement
Develop and recommend methods, policies, and procedures to advance the Quality System.
Work to improve the quality of our products and services, overcome challenges, and reduce defects.
Proficiencies
Read and interpret Print and drawings reading and interpretation.
Understanding of dimensional symbols and callouts.
