Job Summary
The Strategy Manager will work with leaders at all levels of the organization to define and evaluate strategic growth and optimization initiatives. This role involves managing and leading enterprise-wide strategic engagements, providing strategic direction, and partnering with stakeholders across multiple business areas to ensure successful execution and alignment with strategic objectives. The Strategy Manager will engage in all stages of strategy management, including discovery, planning, implementation, and performance management, acting as a consultant and collaborating closely with the PMO and other key stakeholders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional engagements in collaboration with senior leadership and functional teams to identify strategic opportunities.
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making, drawing conclusions from large databases, working with diverse data sources, and performing in-depth financial analysis.
- Work with leadership to establish and communicate the corporate strategy and strategic priorities.
- Manage the scope of work, prepare analyses and deliverables, and ensure high-quality results that reflect the best thinking of the team.
- Oversee the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and successful implementation.
- Develop and refine key team tools and systems and manage individual team and initiative members.
- Evaluate strategies post-implementation to assess their effectiveness and impact on organizational goals.
- Solicit and evaluate internal and external feedback to enhance continuous quality improvement.
- Identify gaps and recommend enhancements and workflows based on a broad view of the organization.
- Lead group presentations and influence various internal and external parties to ensure ongoing alignment and support.
- Advocate for change and influence others to see the value in initiatives, managing interpersonal sensitivities, and articulating the strategic view to ensure alignment.
- Comfortable leading and supporting initiatives related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, including due diligence, integration planning, and execution to drive organizational growth and alignment with strategic objectives.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in strategic roles, such as management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, business analysis, or program management.
- Proven track record of managing medium to large initiatives or multiple workstreams within larger strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated progressive, expanded responsibilities with a proven record of success in strategic research, planning, execution, and performance management.
- The ideal candidate will possess experience in the healthcare industry, with a preference towards the health plan side and/or value-based care models (PCP, Specialist, MSO or ACO).

- Ability to apply structured thinking and frameworks to solve problems.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications, including experience developing models and creating powerful presentations explaining the findings.
- The ideal candidate will have one or a combination of advance degree or certifications such as MBA, MHA, PMP, PMI-ACP, Six Sigma Blackbelt, Lean Certification, or similar professional designation, demonstrating their expertise in strategic thinking.
Physical Requirements
This position works under usual office conditions. The employee is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
