SALARY : $60,000 - $75,000 base salary bonus (based on NYC, will be adjusted for geo)
The Role :
The role’s purpose is to serve as a marketing generalist supporting and learning from the marketing team, with a specific focus on content development and event management. This person will help the marketing team stay organized and connected internally while also increasing our capacity to scale marketing efforts. Examples of key impacts would include expanding Canoe’s brand awareness through effective social media strategies and increasing Canoe’s market penetration by supporting execution of sponsored or Canoe-hosted events. The impact of this role is far-reaching in contributing to increasing our brand awareness and product familiarity, while also amplifying lead generation and conversion efforts.
What You’ll Do :
- Organizing marketing operations : Keeping marketing calendars up to date and building up relevant action items / workflows to support task execution and reporting across the marketing team. Includes getting approval and taking action where relevant.
- Coordinating content creation Liaising with our PR firm and internal stakeholders to maintain PR and award calendars and execute on these opportunities; Researching, pitching, and developing new content for Canoe, including supporting existing blog / content cadences and owning a monthly blog cadence (e.g. product marketing).
- Supporting content distribution : Drafting social media content and images for paid and organic campaigns; Driving social media content creation and publication for Canoe’s employee advocacy program; Supporting email campaign production and distribution.
- Managing digital and in-person event logistics : Preparing, tracking, and following up on the logistics of all sponsored and hosted events, such as Canoe’s user conference. Includes coordinating swag orders / shipments, communicating information and reminders to attendees, and hosting prep and debrief sessions.
- Supporting website management and optimization : Supporting website optimization efforts. Includes reviewing new page mockups against Wordpress toolkit, drafting new copy or images to optimize page content, and helping to standardize past and future blog content; Working collaboratively within the marketing team and cross-functionally within the broader organization to ensure website is an accurate digital representation of the firm.
- Owning broader monthly marketing initiatives : Managing monthly initiatives, including the marketing newsletter, social media content series (Partner Round Up, Month In Review), and month-end marketing impact reporting.
- Collaboration : Liaise closely with the marketing, business development, sales, relationship management, and product teams on a regular basis. This also includes collaborating with vendors for swag orders, event coordinators for sponsorships, and restaurant managers for Canoe-hosted events.
- Tech stack : Frequently use the marketing team’s core toolset, including Hubspot, Canva, Oktopost, Salesforce, Slack, BrandLive, Zoom, Google Suite, Wordpress, LinkedIn, Confluence, and project management software. Lead or support exploration of new tools to bring into the tech stack, as needed.
