A little about who we are looking for!

Overnight Engineering General Maintenance Position Overview:

The Overnight Engineering General Maintenance is responsible for ensuring proper operations maintenance service and repair of all equipment while supporting the Canopy by Hilton Boston Downtown goals of guest satisfaction cost control and profitability. They are also responsible for overseeing and participating in the Preventative Maintenance program ensuring that all rooms and public space meet Canopy by Hilton Boston Downtown Hospitality standards.

A little about what you will bring!

The Overnight Engineering General Maintenance will conduct walk-through and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structure(s) of the hotel, all mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C. systems, and any other related equipment.

The Overnight Engineering General Maintenance will inform the Director of Engineering, General Manager, and hotel department heads, on a regular basis, regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structure(s), related systems and equipment offering prudent, and cost-effective proposals for maintaining same. Accesses and inputs information into a computer and generates reports.

The Overnight Engineering General Maintenance will assist the Director of Engineering with preparing all utility, Capital Projects, and R&M budgets. Adhere to all corporate required purchasing policies and controls, which includes all outside contractor bids, budgets, and schedules. Monitor and control the monthly expenditures, including but not limited, to payroll.

The Overnight Engineering General Maintenance who works at one of our fabulous hotels can participate in Hilton’s discounted room rate program.

That same Engineering General Maintenance will be eligible for education assistance following the completion of their first EPIC year of service.
