Job Description :
As a Public Area Attendant / shuttle driver at The Canopy, you will be responsible for ensuring that all public areas of the hotel are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for our guests. You will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services to our hotel guests to the following areas Cornell Campus, Ithaca Campus, Ithaca Airport and bus depot. Your role is critical in ensuring guests have a smooth and pleasant travel experience during their stay.
Key Responsibilities :
- Clean and maintain all public areas of the hotel, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, and meeting rooms.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of high-traffic areas and ensure they are presentable at all times.
- Replenish and organize supplies such as bathroom amenities, toilet paper, soap, and paper towels in public restrooms.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damages to the housekeeping supervisor or management.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in all public spaces, including lobby areas, entrances, and outdoor spaces.
- Assist with event setups or room configurations for meetings and conferences.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and hotel standards for cleanliness.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests by offering assistance and ensuring a pleasant environment.
- Provide courteous, friendly, and professional service to guests during the shuttle ride, assisting with luggage when necessary.
- Ensure that the shuttle vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and fully operational at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving to ensure the safety of passengers.
- Assist guests with information regarding the hotel, local transportation, and area attractions.
- Maintain accurate records of shuttle trips and vehicle mileage.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle malfunctions to management in a timely manner.
- Monitor shuttle schedules to ensure timely departures and arrivals.
