The Legal Recruiting Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the recruitment and onboarding of law students and lateral associate attorneys for the firm. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Legal Recruiting, this position will manage the student recruiting process, lateral hiring, and summer associate programs, while contributing to the firm's broader legal recruiting initiatives. The manager will supervise a team of recruiting professionals and collaborate with firm leadership to achieve strategic hiring goals and enhance the firm's practice areas.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage all aspects of law student recruiting, including outreach, summer programs, and hiring decisions to achieve firm hiring goals focused on diversity, high-level credentials, and alignment with practice areas.
  • Develop and execute strategies to build and maintain a strong student recruiting pipeline.
  • Oversee pre-OCI and OCI processes, including school engagement, interview registration, job fair participation, and recruitment for diversity fellowships.
  • Coordinate callback interviews, including scheduling, candidate communication, and database management.
  • Design and manage the firm's summer associate program, including orientation, training, work assignments, evaluations, social events, and student liaison activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with law schools, student groups, and diversity organizations; plan outreach events for law students.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Leads and Teams to manage candidate selection, data tracking, and reporting, continuously improving processes.
  • Evaluate results from hiring cycles to refine strategies, reviewing selection criteria, feedback quality, and post-hire performance.
  • Oversee entry-level hiring outside the summer process, including 3Ls, recent graduates, and co-ops.
  • Supervise Legal Recruiting Coordinators and Specialists, and manage the lateral associate recruiting process, focusing on experienced attorneys and non-attorney technical hires.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with departmental protocols using recruiting databases and document management systems.
  • Represent the firm professionally in interactions with internal and external clients, law schools, and the legal community.
  • Participate in legal recruiting organizations to enhance the firm's profile and contribute to professional growth.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2-4 years of legal recruiting experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
  • Proven experience managing staff.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external partners.
