Outpatient Clinic Therapist - Position Overview:
- The CBHS Outpatient Therapist is responsible for providing clinical services to individuals enrolled in the outpatient clinic.
- He/she is responsible for providing the clinical support necessary for implementation of the therapeutic services through the
establishment of a comprehensive therapeutic relationship with youth and families based on the provision of individual, family,
and group therapy for the clinic. - The CBHS Therapist assures that the program meets all state, federal and regulatory organizational guidelines and regulations.
Job Responsibilities
Therapeutic Relationship:
- Conduct individual therapy as needed.
- Conduct family therapy as needed.
- Act as a liaison between the guardians and/or families of OP and/or the PMHC.
- Assist in the coordination of the aftercare plan with each youth.
- Maintain a comprehensive file of existing community resources.
- Make referrals or secure additional resources from PMHC and link to care coordination and recovery support when needed.
Administrative Support:
- Completes the Master Treatment Plan with each youth.
- Document the results of all therapeutic sessions in CareLogic within 48 hours.
- Complete an aftercare plan with each OP youth seven days before discharge.
- Complete a Discharge Summary for each OP youth within fifteen days of discharge.
- Assumes Clinical On-Call responsibilities as scheduled.
- Complete DLA-20 at intake and every 90 days.
- Administer PHQ-9 at intake and at least once a month.
- Administer Hope Scale at intake and every six months.
- Review clinic manual and follow suicide protocol appropriately.
- Maintain an accurate caseload.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Professional Standards:
- Attend bi-weekly supervisory sessions with Regional manager.
- Attend monthly individual supervision sessions with director.
- Attend monthly group supervision sessions with director and other OP therapists.
- Maintain annual training requirements.
- Present proof of licensure renewal as appropriate.
- Participate in staff training and educational programs to maintain annual minimum requirements.
Required Qualifications:

Requirements: Master’s degree in a behavioral health field.

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in outpatient or residential services preferred.

Minimum of one (1) year experience must be in working with families and youth.

Mississippi professional LMFT, LMSW, P-LPC, CMHT or PCMHT required.
