CANPACK is partnering with an outside vendor to hire an On-Site Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, or Athletic Trainer – Injury Prevention Specialist.

Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and proactive Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, or Athletic Trainer to provide on-site injury prevention services within a manufacturing warehouse environment. This role focuses on proactive injury prevention, early intervention, ergonomic assessments, and educational programs designed to improve worker health, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an industrial or manufacturing setting and a strong commitment to workplace safety and employee well-being.


Key Responsibilities


Injury Prevention:

• Develop and implement injury prevention programs tailored to manufacturing tasks and workplace demands.

• Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend adjustments to optimize worker posture, movements, and workstation setups.

• Educate employees on safe movement, lifting techniques, and other injury prevention strategies.

Early Intervention:

• Provide on-site triage for acute musculoskeletal complaints and advise on modifications or work restrictions when necessary.

• Offer targeted therapeutic exercises and body mechanics training to mitigate risk factors and minimize recurrence of musculoskeletal issues.

• Track and document all interactions with employees regarding injury complaints, modifications, and outcomes.

Wellness and Education:

• Lead wellness workshops on topics like stretching, warm-up routines, and mindfulness practices to reduce stress and physical strain.

• Design training materials, including handouts and instructional videos, tailored to specific job tasks and risks within the warehouse.

• Maintain regular communications with employees, supervisors, and management on injury trends, proactive measures, and health tips.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Maintain and analyze injury data to identify high-risk areas, activities, or departments.

• Collaborate with safety officers and HR to track trends, set benchmarks, and continuously improve injury prevention efforts.

• Prepare periodic reports summarizing injury data, program outcomes, and areas for improvement.


Qualifications


Licensure: Licensed Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, or Athletic Trainer in Indiana.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, or on-site healthcare environment.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of ergonomics, biomechanics, and injury prevention.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels.

• Proficiency in data collection and reporting tools.

• Familiarity with OSHA guidelines and workplace safety practices.


Additional Requirements


• Ability to work in a warehouse setting, including standing, bending, lifting, and other physical activities as necessary.

• Willingness to work flexible hours based on the needs of the warehouse operations.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
