Responsibilities at a Glance
- Ensure robust automation system functionality by deploying and maintaining hardware, operating systems, and software.
- Provide expert troubleshooting and support for robotic and line control systems in manufacturing.
- Manage procurement of parts and maintenance agreements effectively.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and equipment across manufacturing settings.
- Validate new or altered software to meet established user expectations.
- Facilitate acquisition and integration of new automation tools and modifications in equipment for enhanced production.
- Ensure complete hardware documentation for all systems under automation.
- Innovate new programs or adjust current processes for robotics, process control, and HMIs.
- Monitor and manage backup programs for controllers, robots, and data systems to prevent data loss.
- Lead recommendations based on cutting-edge technology research.
- Implement and train on new hardware and software solutions thoroughly.
Skillset and Experience
- A degree (Associate/Bachelor) or comparable expertise and experience.
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience with PLC automation and systems control.
- Hands-on experience in high-speed production settings.
- Exceptional skills in communication and technical domains.
- In-depth familiarity with Allen Bradley and control systems technologies.
- Proficient in the development and modification of PLCs and HMIs.
- Adept in engaging with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Knack for effective prioritization and management of tasks.
- Capacity to craft and deliver educational materials for various audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.
