The Internal Audit Intern will be responsible for driving critical projects to help build the newly formed Internal Audit department.  This role is located in Sandy Springs, GA.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to department improvement projects such as: enhancing internal audit software, assisting with IIA Standard alignment initiatives, and developing management reporting capabilities for key stakeholders.
• Partner with control owners to obtain and test control documentation.
• Update process and control narratives, flowcharts, and risk and control matrices.
• Facilitate Executive and Board reporting preparation.

Requirements:

• Will have completed junior year with a major in accounting, auditing, or related field by the internship start date.
• Candidates should have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• On a path to eligibility for a certification (or multiple) with a desire to pursue after graduation.
• Microsoft office skills are required.  Data visualization experience a plus.
• Strong candidates will display intellectual curiosity, analytical skills, detail orientation, organizational skills, relationship-building skills, and an ability to deal with ambiguity.
• Candidates should have an interest in technology and a basic knowledge of internal control concepts.
• Ability to drive results and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
• Ability to meet and exceed deadlines with composure. 

Program Details:

• Rate: $21.00 per hour - Maximum of 20 hours per week
• Period:  Approximately January 2025 - May 2025
• Local to Atlanta w/ flex hybrid schedule available
