Job Title: Reception and Administrative Support
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to provide reception, support, and administrative assistance to residents, visitors, guests, and other employee-partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Treat all individuals with respect, integrity, and compassion in accordance with the Cantata Promise.
- Assist the Life Enrichment Director with daily operations, encourage participation in wellness programs, and ensure building security.
- Handle reception duties, greet visitors, and direct them as needed, while maintaining respect and fairness in all interactions.
- Observe and report changes in residents' conditions, complete administrative tasks, and handle data entry as instructed by the Nurse Manager or Campus Director.
- Schedule appointments, contact residents or responsible parties, and work with Life Enrichment to manage activity calendars.
- Assist with transporting residents, photocopy/fax documents, and ensure files are up-to-date and accessible.
- Monitor clerical supplies, deliver messages promptly, and distribute mail.
- Maintain a positive atmosphere in the department, adapt to changing situations, and follow work assignments.
- Attend required training and adhere to Cantata's policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Prior office/receptionist experience is helpful.
- Represent Cantata to visitors, vendors, employees, and others in a professional manner and appearance.
- Must be knowledgeable of computer systems, preferably Microsoft Office, Outlook Calendar, and other office equipment.
- Must possess a professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with a diverse group of people.
- Ability and willingness to work harmoniously within a team environment.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents/patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Aptitude for detail work.
- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility.
Contact with Others:
Extensive contact with residents/clients on a daily basis, daily contact with all levels of personnel within the company, and extensive contact with resident's/client's family members and community contacts.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Must meet general health requirements as set forth by this company.
- Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of sitting.
- Works in office areas, sitting in front of a computer monitor, and subject to frequent interruptions.
- Walking and climbing stairs, use of elevator, as required to deliver messages and secure exit doors.
Exposure Classification:
- Job duties are classified as Category II (no routine contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues).
- No exposure to chemicals identified for use in the nursing department.
Salary Range:
$15-$16 per hour.
