POSITION SUMMARY :
The Superintendent is responsible for field operations on the project(s) assigned to achieve safe, quality, and profitable projects completed in a timely manner. The Superintendent directly supervises the field labor force, including laborers / craft workers. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organization, time management, effective communication, and client service skills.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Safety

- Communicates with Safety Professionals to ensure a safe workplace
- Proactively identifies and halts unsafe work practices, and promptly reports them to management to ensure a safe work environment
Operational
Report project manhours and quantities on a timely basisDirect day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor forceCoordinate site testing and inspection effortsMaintain a working relationship with internal and external clientsDevelop and maintain site logistics plans in coordination with the Project ManagerMonitor costs, including labor, time, and materialManage schedule and ensure all activities take place on or ahead of scheduleMaintain and verify as-built drawings are accurateMobilize the site and set up site utilitiesAssure necessary permits are secured and inspections occurInspect cost reports to ensure they reflect accurate quantitiesReview, understand, document to drawings, and assist Project Managers with all Requests for Information (RFIs)Actively coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and craft workers to meet project scheduleMaintain on-site accurate shop drawings for implementing the workComplete Daily Project Reports, Concrete Logs, Sign-in sheets, and other documentsCoach and mentor crewsCoordinate location of control for layout with the Cantera Field Engineering DepartmentOther duties as assignedJOB SKILLS & ABILITIES GUIDELINES :
