Volunteer Care Specialist

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as volunteers, providing care and support to patients and their families in the Houston area. As a Hospice volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and companionship to patients
• Prepare meals and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Promote positive communication and respect for patient privacy
• Assist with administrative tasks and participate in special projects

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred
• Current driver's license (if providing direct patient care)
• Ability to read and write in English
• Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance (if providing direct patient care)
• Pass a criminal history check

Work Environment

• Patient homes in various conditions
• Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases
• Ability to work flexible schedules and travel locally
