Substitute Bus Assistant
Hourly Rate $13.72
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Educational Aide permit
- Physical ability to lift students
- Honesty
- Cooperate and get along with others
- Work as a member of a team
Desirable:
- Ability to take directions
- Previous successful experience with school age children
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of a Bus Assistant include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assists the bus driver to provide a positive and safe atmosphere on the bus
- Assists students on and off the bus
- Accompanies students to and from the bus
- Assigns students seats if necessary and/or required
- Understands and maintains the academic and behavioral standards set for the students by the bus driver and/or Supervisor of Transportation
- Operates wheelchair lift as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
