Responsibilities:
- Drafting and submitting appeals before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and preparing reexamination requests
- Preparing opinions on patentability, invalidity, infringement, and freedom to operate matters
- Experience in building patent portfolios, counseling engineers, business stakeholders, harvesting innovations, and collaborating with outside counsel
- Assessing IP infringement risks and patent validity
- Prosecuting foreign patent applications
- Drafting and prosecuting patent applications directed to machine learning models including non-linear model architectures, semiconductor fabrication technology, network systems, power distribution, and fintech
- Participating in patent-related due diligence
- Participating in annuity analysis
- Provide litigation support
- Prior experience in Inter Partes (IPR) and Ex Parte proceedings
Qualifications:
- 5 years of patent prosecution experience
- Experience in drafting new original filings and prosecuting patent applications directed to electrical, computer science/software/AI, and mechanical applications before the USPTO
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for figuring out how technology works
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service through responsiveness, strategic counseling, and the production of high-quality work. Strong attention to detail and precision in all aspects of patent practice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Admission to the USPTO Bar and membership in good standing in at least one State Bar
Salary: $190,000 - $ 220,000
The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
Salary : $190,000 - $220,000
