Job Title: Flight Test Analyst - Sentinel
Location: Hill AFB, UT (On-Site)
The Flight Test Analyst plays a critical role in the development and execution of flight test programs for advanced missile systems. This position involves analyzing telemetry and other flight test data to assess system performance, identify anomalies, and verify compliance with requirements. The analyst will work closely with engineers, program management, and customer representatives to plan flight tests, develop data reduction techniques, and present findings in clear and concise reports. A strong understanding of aerospace engineering principles, data analysis methods, and missile systems is essential for success in this role. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Duties:
- Develop and execute data analysis plans for Sentinel flight tests.
- Reduce and Analyze telemetry data to evaluate system performance against requirements.
- Develop tools to support pre-flight and post-flight analysis.
- Generate comprehensive test reports and presentations summarizing flight test results.
- Participate in pre-flight and post-flight review boards and provide white papers summarizing conclusions..
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through multiple program acquisition phases.
- Decompose test requirements into test objectives, evaluation criteria, and required resources for system level tests and demonstrations.
- Support use of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) applications and agile techniques in T&E of the weapon system.
- Support the development of test requirements and detailed integration test plans, test procedures, technical and safety review boards (TRB/SRBs), test readiness reviews (TRRs), and test assessment reports.
- Support integration and advancement of government assessment tools through advocacy for technical approaches and development of specific tools to enable assessment.
- Author independent assessments of contractor test results.
- Assess test support and systems integration progress and trends of testing, identify problems and areas of concern for assigned systems.
- Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Integrated Test Teams (ITTs) as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field. *Experience may be substituted for education with customer approval.
- Familiarity with ICBM weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment, their projected use in the military, and methods of testing.
- Familiarity with test & evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies.
- Demonstrated expertise flight test methodologies test planning, and test conduct is required.
- Demonstrated record of experience and accomplishments that are exceptional and/or unique.
- Verbal and written communications are clear, concise, and at appropriate level.
- Utilize resources effectively to accomplish mission, including ability to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
- Focused adherence to safety and security requirements.
Security Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance; Active Top-Secret clearance desired.
Desired Experience:
- A Master of Science degree is desired.
- Familiarity with flight test data analysis/evaluation, modeling and simulation, technical report preparation, and administrative aspects of flight test programs.
- Experience with data analysis tools and techniques (i.e. MATLAB, Python).
- Experience reducing test data into technical report format utilizing tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar language.
- Familiarity with analyzing GPS and telemetry data requirements for missile performance accuracy.
- Experience with on-board test equipment instrumentation, data acquisition, and data processing.
- Previous work experience in a Lead Developmental Test and Evaluation Organization (LDTO) or Operational Test Organization (OTO) environment.

- Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
