Canvas is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer! This position provides advisory services to the DoD.
Duties
This position is to provide advisory and Assistance Support (A&AS), specifically relating to engineering designs, in direct support of customer test programs at the Holloman High Speed Test Track (HHSTT) for the 846th Test Squadron (846TS). Duties will include, but are not limited to;

Duties
This position is to provide advisory and Assistance Support (A&AS), specifically relating to engineering designs, in direct support of customer test programs at the Holloman High Speed Test Track (HHSTT) for the 846th Test Squadron (846TS). Duties will include, but are not limited to;
- Apply advanced electrical design techniques for the development of new and unique sled instrumentation systems in harsh environments with limited space.
- Conceive and formulate modular instrumentation designs to reduce design and build-up time despite unique sled designs.
- Devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.
- Demonstrate technical engineering experience in the development, fielding, and sustainment of hardware for test and evaluation instrumentation systems.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field. *Experience may be substituted for education with customer approval.
- Requires a working knowledge of MATLAB software.
- Requires knowledge of circuit design and electrical loads analysis.
- Requires working knowledge of experimental techniques with emphasis on data acquisition, data validation/analysis and data presentation.
- Must have ability to work within specific procedures and processes of the Air Force Test Center and DoD regulations and guidelines.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, interact effectively with customers, and be able to present information to groups of various sizes.
- Must possess the ability to quickly understand customers' overall technical objectives and mission and provide effective solutions.
- Must exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the 846TS as well as maintain high standards of quality and excellence in performing the duties.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; Active Secret clearance desired.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
- May be required to work other than normal duty hours on occasion to meet customer test requirements/schedule.
