What you'll do

The Learning Coordinator is a highly visible position serving as a brand ambassador of learning, development, and performance. The Learning Coordinator fosters collaborative relationships across the People team and the organization with finesse, focus and fortitude, while operating with a high level of professionalism in support of the many administrative needs of the Learning team as we accelerate and support Canvas’ vision to be known for our people through the creation of engaging, meaningful, challenging, and needs-based learning options in service to our Members, Family and Others.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Oversees
    • Administration of program and cohort calendars, Learning inbox, Canvas Learning Teams channel
    • Maintaining up-to-date learning intranet program schedules
    • Logistics of in-person event – both preset and day of support with room booking, setup, and stocking, ordering catering, purchase any necessary supplies
    • Scheduling requested events via Outlook and Learning Management System (uCan)
      • Manage home office conference room booking requests
    • Asana project/program creation and maintenance for both self and team
    • Develops communication and calendar invitations for learning programs and initiatives
    • Maintaining up-to-date learning schedules and enrollment
    • Manage the budget, expense report and credit card for learning team in partnership with program owners and Learning & Development senior leadership
    • Plan and schedule learning and performance events in partnership with program owners
    • Administrative components of learning programming
  • Assists
    • Coordinates and organizes the day-to-day meetings and activities of the Learning & Development Team to ensure efficiency of operations
    • Building policies and procedures to support learning processes and functions
    • Learning management system functionality, including assigning, monitoring, auditing, reporting, employee development
    • Partnership with Internal Communications for iCan calendar updates, monthly CanCast updates, and L&D engagement opportunities
    • Recommend training materials and methods, order and maintain in-house training equipment, and participant swag
    • Establish and maintain relationships with learning program participants with close communication and follow-up via Teams and Outlook
  • Supports
    • Learning Team with process improvement, ideation, content review, and edit recommendations
    • Key projects focused on organizational development initiatives including performance management, culture & engagement, and other initiatives as determined
    • Facilitation of foundational learning initiatives
    • Core values of learning at Canvas
    • Organizational goals, values, initiatives and cost control measures
    • Safety and security guidelines in safeguarding member and organizational assets
    • Other job duties as assigned

  • Requirements
    • Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado drivers’ license and provide proof of insurance
    • Pre-employment background review (components include criminal, employment, address, social security number, motor vehicle record, global sanctions, and sex offender

Education or Formal Training: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related major, or equivalent work experience 

Experience:  Minimum of two years of administrative experience in related industry.

This position has a starting pay range of $24.34-$28.90/hourly, and final pay rate will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and internal equity factors.

Working Environment/Physical Activities

Office/branch environment with some travel. Must be able to attend meetings and events outside of regular business hours. High volume, fast-paced, dynamic office environment with some travel. Must be able to attend meetings and events outside of regular business hours. The job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, copiers, fax machines and filing cabinets. The position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets. The position requires bending, stooping, or standing as necessary.
