JOB TITLE: Supervisor; Larvicide (sUAS)
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time Non-Exempt
SALARY RANGE: DOE

POSITION REPORTS TO: Larvicide Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Oversee and carryout Larvicide Operations Manager’s instructions while leading larvicide team members; ensuring the work is carried out and that all established protocols and procedures are followed. Employee is also responsible for overseeing and carrying out unmanned aerial system applications (sUAS) throughout the District.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (consisting of, but not limited to):
· Create orientation presentations conclusive with Inspection/Larvicide duties and present them.
· Attend training and professional development relevant to position.
· Investigate all accidents/incidents and ensure proper reports are filled out completely and correctly.
· Assist with employee training and development throughout the season.
· Responsible for Larvicide equipment calibration and general maintenance.
· Supervise field crews during treatment operations and ensure their work is done safely and according to established protocols.
· Ensure proper chain of command is followed when issues arise.
· Verify that larvicide treatments have been conducted and recorded correctly and in accordance with product labels.
· Ensure field crews have adequate supplies of water, insecticide, personal protective equipment, forms, etc.
· Ensure each team member gives a professional image; maintains public sensitivity while communicating to the public in a competent and professional manner.
· Responsible for entering all treatment data into operational reporting software.
· Identify larvicide habitats and determining the proper action based on CCMAD integrated pest management program.
· Communicate any errors or issues with operational reporting software directly to Larvicide Manager.
· Supervise and/or carry out minor field repairs to equipment.
· Perform equipment, facility and grounds maintenance as needed.
· Serve as Chief Pilot in Command during Unmanned Aerial System applications.
· Maintain through understanding of Federal Aviation Administration and local laws/regulations.
· Manage all flight and maintenance records for drone.
· Create/maintain operational and safety check lists for small, unmanned aircraft system operations.
· Will be a functioning member of the “Safety Committee” and project management team.
· Adhere to CCMAD Policies, Procedures and Safety program
· Assist the Larvicide Manager in the completion of their duties, and, capable of serving as Acting Larvicide Manager if needed and as requested by CCMAD Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
· Must possess a State of Idaho Professional Pesticide Applicators License with Public Health Endorsement with 30 days of hire
· Must acquire/maintain a valid Idaho Motor Vehicle Operators License
· Must acquire/maintain CPR certification
· Must acquire/maintain DOT-FAA Remote Pilot Certificate with 180 days of hire
· Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Ability to regularly lift/carry 30 pounds and occasional lift/carry 50 pounds
· Ability to demonstrate physical stamina to frequently operate a motor vehicle; show coordination of eye/hand/foot; use fine manipulation by hand
· Ability to periodically traverse uneven ground such as fields, dirt banks, stream beds, and shallow ponds carrying equipment and materials up to 50 pounds
· Ability to stand/sit for extended periods of time
· Ability to use gross manipulation by hand; carry items; perform repetitive motion associated with computer usage; climb a ladder and operate spray equipment; bend; twist; crawl; balance; lift; push; perform simple grasping; power grip; squat/crouch; kneel; reach; climb; pull
· Ability to wear protective equipment such as hip waders and rubber boots as needed
· Ability to operate specialized equipment such as all-terrain vehicles, and other mechanized equipment
· Ability to work alone and/or without direct supervision
