Our goal is to build a teaching and learning community that cherishes childhood and understands how children learn through purposeful play. Our teaching team provides a creative, joyful, and developmentally appropriate preschool environment where children can explore and learn through scaffolded hands-on activities. We are committed to fostering a love for learning in all developmental domains, ensuring each child thrives socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively.
Job Summary: We seek a friendly and professional Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will create and implement developmentally appropriate activities, maintain positive relationships with parents and colleagues, and ensure the classroom and school are a warm and engaging place. Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
- Design and implement play-based learning activities that promote growth in all developmental domains (social, emotional, physical, cognitive).
- Create a stimulating, engaging, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and exploration.
- Assess and document children's progress and development, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
Classroom Management:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing classroom.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, adhering to all safety and health regulations.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes self-regulation, friendships, and belonging.
Parent and Colleague Relations:
- Build strong, positive relationships with parents by regularly updating their child's progress and development and facilitating two parent-teacher conferences annually.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff, contributing to a supportive and cohesive team environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Professionalism and Teamwork:
- Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and preparedness for each workday.
- Exhibit a cheerful and positive attitude, contributing to a happy and productive work environment.
- Embrace and promote the school’s philosophy of cherishing childhood and valuing play as a vital part of learning.
Other duties may be assigned by the Director. Lead teachers report to Director. Lead Teachers supervise Teachers.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with a minimum of 12 ECE units
- 3 or more infant/toddler units preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children in a preschool setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and play-based learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a background check.
Salary : $28 - $32
