Job Summary
Administrative: Oversees all purchases and requisitions for Banquets department as needed to execute for BEO's produced by the CS team. Plans for all required wares, decor, rentals. Works with Culinary to prepare buffet set-up in accordance with menus. Directs table setup for plated events and maintains stock of tabletop items to execute. Works directly with Functions team to synergize on event setup, breakdown and storage of equipment. Plans staffing needed a rolling 10 days in advance.
Guest Experience: Ensures a seamless, high quality guest experience for all BEO events to delight all the senses. Must be polished in appearance and able to communicate effectively with the client/contact to build a positive rapport. Must embody the Three Steps of Service and ensure all staff do same. Goal is for guest satisfaction to be so high they look forward to committing the same event the following year(s). Post Event surveys will reflect your level of customer delight.
Staff Supervision: Maintains a professional leadership style and mentors all levels of staff whether permanent or Temp. Responsible for assisting in the selection, hiring, on-boarding, training, counseling and employment separation. Coordinates and implements staff trainings and continuing education for all areas. Responsible for timely completion of performance reviews as needed. Ensures all staff follows proper daily procedures and supports department and staff with all guest related activities focusing staff on guest engagement.
Training: Participates in and oversees the deployment and completion of regulatory and in-house training programs including Service, Safety and Allergens training for all outlet employees.
High School Diploma required, Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred
