Responsibilities
Conference Service Technician is behind many of the activities that happen at Canyon Ranch. Currently , Canyon Ranch Tucson is in need of a part time Conference Service Technician to aid in the setups / strikes of event request, audio and visual components, and assisting the Conference Service Assistant Manager as required. A background knowledge in basic Audio / Visual is preferred . Flexible Schedule .
THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION THAT WILL END AROUND APRIL 2025 . You will be given 30 days notice of your end date in writing.
- Job Duties : Set-up of internal / external functions throughout the day according to the At A Glance and BEO's.. Set up may include moving tables, chairs and podiums, supplying and setting up flipchart, decorations and handouts, updating power point presentations and assisting food and beverage with set-up. Inspects meeting spaces and equipment in need of attention such as chairs, stools, podium, lighting, curtains, any potential hazards, spot cleaning. Works with Featured Speakers and closely with the Canyon Ranch guests. Ensures audiovisual equipment (plugging in, turning on and testing all audiovisual equipment 24 hours prior to events.) is set up and running properly. Administers virtual meeting equipment for remote meetings or conference calls. Colleague will prepare maintenance and IT requests and follow up on completion.
- Administrative Duties : Creates door signs for rooms, Bingo Certificates, Speaker Vouchers, sign in sheets, prints cancelled signs for cancelled lectures and reviews, prints and delivers Ranch Schedules when needed.
- Deliveries & Pickups : Performs safe drop-off & pick-up of equipment and supplies to scheduled rooms.
- Inventory : Maintains inventory checklist for equipment / supplies in each storage location. Places order in NetSuite for markers, flipcharts, pens, paper, clipboards, etc. when needed. Ensures supplies are picked up and stored properly.
Schedule will be Thursday - Sunday 7 : 30AM - 2 : 30PM (should have some flexibility to work other days / events also)
Qualifications
Education
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
Required Certification / License
Certifications / licenses in relevant field; equivalent training will be considered
Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
Additional Required Certification / License
Group B driver
